Dear Visitors,

I am pleased to introduce you to the Official Website of the Industrial Court of Trinidad and Tobago. Plans were in place for the inauguration of this Website in the year 2002 but, unfortunately, the Website was never established.  Now, thanks to the unstinted commitment and dedication of our present Acting Registrar of the Court, Mr. Noel Inniss, who was ably assisted by our Systems Analyst, Ms. Joan Thompson, and our Librarian, Ms. Lucyanna Moy Hing, this Website has become operational.

The Industrial Court was established in March 1965 and, since then, it has delivered a considerable number of written judgments.  For the present, we intend to publish an index of all judgments delivered from the inception of the Court to the present time together with summaries of them.  Some full reports of important judgments will also be published.  We hope that this index and summaries of the main points of our judgments will be helpful to all practitioners and all other interested persons.

Industrial Law has become a rapidly expanding field of law and only practitioners with the necessary knowledge and expertise can hope to survive in this area.  I trust that not only practitioners will benefit from this Website but also workers, trade unionists, employers and students.
